As I read Margie Martin’s thoughts in her devotionals, I realize God has given her a gift of discernment and application. In her second devotional, A Long Walk With the Father, she made the joyous comment from 2 Corinthians 4:7-12, “So why do we have to go through these times of being squeezed in on every side, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down? Paul says it’s because these are the only times that God’s treasure, His unsurpassing power, can be seen in us.” This is the perspective we all need for walking by faith through this life.

I’ve been a Christian for fifty years, and these thoughts have ministered to me in so many ways with the everyday crises of life. God uses this book to make the Scriptures come alive on our level. My husband and I have worked with young believers at our church, and I can see how this devotional would be helpful for them.
